Meet John Adams MD, a skilled San Antonio OBGYN
John Adams MD is a respected San Antonio OBGYN with Women’s Health Texas. Each patient who visits his office can count on receiving compassionate and customized women’s healthcare. Dr. Adams’ goal is to create a supportive environment that allows women to feel comfortable sharing their health concerns and goals. He provides obstetrical and gynecological care to help women at every age and stage of life.

John Adams MD graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Texas A&M University. He then earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center in College Station. For his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Adams went to The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Today, he is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Prior to joining the Institute for Women’s Health, Dr. Adams, who is a published author, was the residency program director for obstetrics and gynecology at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This experience, together with his training, has allowed him to become an exemplary physician.

This San Antonio OBGYN provides his patients with the full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, including adolescent gynecology, preventive care, pregnancy care and menopause management. The actual visit with Dr. Adams was great however I have been coming to this office for years and I have never seen the waiting room as packed as it was. When I say packed I mean PACKED like sardines. It was uncomfortable. People were literally waiting for someone to get up so they could take their seat. I was almost knee to knee with the person sitting in front of me. I feel like this is unsafe with Covid and Flu season upon us. I also felt rushed when I was brought in to take my weight and vitals. Please do something about the amount of people in the waiting room.

Dr. Adams was helpful and readily answered my questions. He was well informed and gave me assurances with my concerns for effects of aging - like bone density, menopause, well-being. I do wish his office would be more proactive to readily provide this information than wait for me to ask all of my questions. They are the experts and can better speak to what concerns a woman has at different stages. That type of services would change this from a 4-star to a 5-star review. Overall Dr. Adams is a great, knowledgeable and very competent doctor!
