Elisa Carroll MD earned her medical degree from the Catholic University of The Sacred Heart School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. She then completed a fellowship program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1995.

Then, Dr. Carroll successfully completed the residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999. During her residency, she was named the chief obstetrics and gynecology resident for the 1998-1999 academic year. She credits her education and training with helping her become the highly respected San Antonio OBGYN she is today.

This San Antonio OBGYN believes it is important to stay current on the latest developments in women’s healthcare. As a result, Dr. Carroll is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society. Membership in these groups allows Dr. Carroll to continue providing her patients with the most-effective and advanced women’s healthcare.

When she isn’t helping her patients achieve their best health, Dr. Carroll enjoys spending time with her spouse and two stepchildren. She speaks fluent English, Spanish and Italian.

Gynecological Ultrasound / Sonogram

I was highly satisfied that I was able to get an appointment as quickly as I did. I was even happier that after my exam, I was able to get an ultra-sound done later on the same day. I am disappointed however that the concerns in my groin/vulva area was not addressed more thoroughly as I still have pain.

I have been with Dr for 20 years she is amazing but this organization she is with does not allow her to build the relationship that is needed with patients I honestly feel she is limited to the amount she spends with her patients. I hope the organization moves more towards allowing doctors to build those relationships which may result in long term patients as myself
