Elisa Carroll MD earned her medical degree from the Catholic University of The Sacred Heart School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. She then completed a fellowship program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1995.

Then, Dr. Carroll successfully completed the residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999. During her residency, she was named the chief obstetrics and gynecology resident for the 1998-1999 academic year. She credits her education and training with helping her become the highly respected San Antonio OBGYN she is today.

This San Antonio OBGYN believes it is important to stay current on the latest developments in women’s healthcare. As a result, Dr. Carroll is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society. Membership in these groups allows Dr. Carroll to continue providing her patients with the most-effective and advanced women’s healthcare.

Perimenopause Treatment for Women

I’ve been seeing Dr. Carroll since I was 22. I am now 39. Dr. Carroll is wonderful. I am disappointed though, because I have been struggling with perimenopause since I was 33 and just now are we seeking an ultrasound to determine if I have fibroids causing me so much pain. I wish we would have done this sooner. Perhaps I should have been more adamant about my suffering.
