Elisa Carroll MD earned her medical degree from the Catholic University of The Sacred Heart School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. She then completed a fellowship program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1995.

Then, Dr. Carroll successfully completed the residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999. During her residency, she was named the chief obstetrics and gynecology resident for the 1998-1999 academic year. She credits her education and training with helping her become the highly respected San Antonio OBGYN she is today.

This San Antonio OBGYN believes it is important to stay current on the latest developments in women’s healthcare. As a result, Dr. Carroll is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society. Membership in these groups allows Dr. Carroll to continue providing her patients with the most-effective and advanced women’s healthcare.

I love Dr. Carroll, she is friendly, informative and patient. When I was checking out that employee was an older Hispanic woman with medium black hair. She wasn't the friendliest. I was trying to make an appointment for my daughter who is a new patient. She said she would have to see if there was anything available because Dr. Carroll is booked until the end of the year. So I said if I have to find a different provider I will. Then she changed her tune a bit and found an appointment in September. I said my daughter can't do that what's available in December. We made an appointment. I sent it to my daughter and she couldn't do that day so I changed it for another day. So there were appointments available. Don't make it seem like it's such a hassle because without patients there isn't a practice.

The staff is very friendly and the room where I received the mammogram is so relaxing that the procedure was not as hurtful as I have had in the past. Dr. Carroll answers all my questions and takes time to ensure I understand. I hardly felt the instrument and she was so gentle. It was all over before I knew it. Love Dr. Carroll! Office staff was welcoming and polite. Nurse was not as friendly as doctor, but she wasn't rude or anything. It was a late afternoon appointment, so she may have just been tired. Dr. Carroll is the absolute best!!! She is always friendly and smiling. She really listens to the patients and takes the time to explain procedures and answer questions thoroughly. I have been seeing her for over 20 years, and I have never been disappointed nor had any bad experiences with her.
