Dr. Michon McCloud was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She graduated from Howard University with a Liberal Arts degree in Zoology in 1989. She then completed her medical training at UMDNJ- Newark where she received her MD in 1995. Dr McCLoud completed four years of residency in OB/GYN at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey in 2000.

She was a private practitioner in the field until 2008 when she became a Hospitalist in Pennsylvania. Dr. McCloud and her family moved to Texas in 2014 where she continued to be a hospitalist in OB/GYN. She has gained great experience working with high risk pregnancies.

She has a husband, two teenage kids, and they are first time dog owners. She is a drill team and hockey mom, and enjoys crafting and road cycling. Now that her kids are older, she is looking forward to returning to private practice.

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

I’ve been a patient with Adriatic for over four years with no prior issues, but my recent visit with Dr. McCloud was very disappointing. I went in with clear UTI symptoms, but my concerns were dismissed because the quick in-office test didn’t show anything. She said she’d send medication to relieve symptoms while waiting for culture results, but I never received a prescription or follow-up. Two days later, my culture confirmed a UTI, yet I still received no call or treatment plan. When I called the office after hours, I was told I’d have to wait until Tuesday to be treated. Now I’m forced to go to urgent care or the ER for something that should have been addressed right away. I feel my concerns were ignored, and this experience was extremely frustrating. I’ve been a patient with Adriatic for over four years with no issues, but my recent visit with Dr. McCloud was extremely disappointing. I went in with clear UTI symptoms, but she dismissed my concerns because the quick in-office test was negative. She promised to send a prescription for Pyridium but never did. My urine culture later came back positive, yet I received no call, treatment, or follow-up, and when I called the office, I was told I’d have to wait days for care because it was “after hours”. I also asked if she could order basic labs to track my hormone levels since I won’t see my prescribing provider until January. Instead of helping, she was judgmental about my hormone replacement therapy and refused to order labs, even though I wasn’t asking her to adjust my medications—just to track my levels. She tried to convince me that my symptoms were related to depression and not premenopausal, strange is that she never saw my labs with hormone levels. I left feeling dismissed, unsupported, and still in pain and a lot of discomfort. This was an unprofessional and frustrating experience, and I will not be seeing this provider again

Doctor was professional and nice but didn't feel genuinely interested. In my opinion should be easy conversation but felt like she regarded me lower and discounted my perspective. Also, sensed that her time was more valuable than mines. Communication was a bit lacking.
