“I was raised in Hawaii, moved to Los Angeles for college and stayed for Medical School and Residency (USC for college, med school, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for residency). I completed my residency in June 2000. I moved to McKinney in July 2000, when I joined Dr. Banks in practice and have been here since!

“I am married with two children – James and Jessica. My husband, Jay, works as a graphic designer/producer in McKinney. I enjoy activities with kids – I am active in their school activities and scouting with children, various booster clubs.

“I am active at First United Methodist Church in McKinney, where I serve on various committees, the Leadership Team, and teaching youth Sunday School. “

The staff was incredibly friendly and communicated often during delays and technical issues out of their control (Microsoft). They were running behind but kept checking in with us until we saw the doctor. Dr. H is very thorough, compassionate and personable.

There was information that I was asked to share with the Dr’s assistant that I felt was very personal and I would feel more comfortable sharing and discussing with the Dr. It was hard to be totally honest with someone that I didn’t know and had no prior relationship with like I do with my Dr.

Dr. Lori Halderman took the time to explain to me what she was going to do. For the postpartum inspection, we discovered I still had pain and she was able to give me a treatment plan that helped with healing and the pain. We also discussed a birth control plan and I feel that she listened to my concerns and helped me pick the best course of action of what would be beneficial to me. At the time of IUD insertion, she talked me through everything and then maintained a conversation so that my mind would be distracted and I was able to be more comfortable during the whole process. I love how wonderful and caring Dr. Halderman is and how much she listens to ensure that I receive the very best treatment. Always listens to me and has answers that are reassuring and helpful.

I am always terrified of my annual exam, in fact i would try to make excuses to miss my appointment or not even make one. But i know i have to eventhough it frightens me. Dr. Lori Halderman is always very gentle, understanding, and patient. The staff are also always very welcoming amd friendly and they do help lessen my fear and anxiety.

We had high expectations for our very first sonogram with our first baby but I had to ask for a lot of details, there wasn’t said much otherwise and there was not a lot of excitement.

IUD Insertion / Removal

It was an extremely painful process. I never want to go through that again, I would prefer to be sedated next time. I was cramping and in tears afterwards, but everyone in the room just left and that was that. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but that was brutal.

Childbirth / Labor & Delivery

Dr Lori makes my birth experience exception and I was able to get over my traumatic birth from previous provider. I feel heard by Dr Lori. Dr Lori is the best dr ever , she changed. T experince about child birth and would like to have 1 more baby due to the care I got during my visits and the birth of the child
