Laura grew up in San Antonio, Texas and Hoover, Alabama. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her graduate degree at the University of South Alabama. She returned back to Texas in 2016 and worked in Austin as a Labor and Delivery nurse where she met Dr. Thoppil and Dr. Shepherd. Laura joined the River Place team as a nurse in 2018 and is excited to continue working as a Nurse Practitioner caring for patients and continuing to build relationships. In her free time, she enjoys watching LSU football, running, and spending time with friends.

I love Dr. Thompson & she attentiveness she provides to each of my appointments. The only thing I would “complain” about is the wait time for the appointments. The past appointment we were in the waiting room for an hour past our scheduled appointment time.
