Jami Barnard MD enjoys working as a San Antonio OBGYN because she can truly make a difference in the life of each patient who steps into her office. She is passionate about helping women live their best and healthiest life at every age and stage. As a Heights Obstetrics and Gynecology provider, Dr. Barnard takes time to listen to her patient’s concerns and develop a treatment plan to help them feel their best.

Jami Barnard MD earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in College Station. She then earned her medical degree from the Texas Tech University Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso.

Dr. Barnard is a licensed OBGYN who twice received the “Outstanding Teaching Resident” award and has been a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society since 2012.

An active volunteer in the community, Dr. Barnard’s interests include educating women on preventive healthcare, providing care at various health fairs and clinics and instructing childbirth education classes. She is a junior fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the author of multiple publications on a wide range of women’s health issues.

Dr. Barnard enjoys exploring San Antonio with her husband and daughter. Her hobbies include backpacking, traveling and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Banard is always very professional, friendly and informative. She always proactive about my health and makes suggestions about how to insure that I’m getting the best care overall from not just her office but from other doctors who I see. She gives me insight on issues I might not have even considered to look out for or to ask my other doctors about. I’m in my 60’s and don’t have the knowledge she has about things a woman my age needs to know and be concerned about in living a healthy lifestyle.
