Dr. Elise Rex joined Grace Obstetrics and Gynecology in the fall of 2020. Prior to joining the practice, she completed her residency at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin where she served as administrative chief resident during her final year.

While at medical school at UT Health San Antonio, Dr. Rex developed a passion for helping teens and adolescents better understand their options when it comes to sexual health. She continued to research this topic throughout her residency and published a study around the topic in the Journal of Juvenile Justice. She is also an active member in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) where she’s held several leadership positions since 2017.

Dr. Rex was born and raised in Fort Worth, prior to heading to the University of Texas at Austin for her undergrad degree. She attended Paschal High School and is excited to be back in the area close to family and friends.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Rex enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and camping with her husband, Ryan.

Dr. Rex has the absolute BEST bedside manner. She is super compassionate and makes you feel so comfortable being at an OBGYN appointment. I am 25 and had never been to any women appointments before this year, and she made me feel so at ease. She is very informative about everything she’s doing and makes it known that she cares about your wellbeing. She has a great personality and gives you the most friendly attitude. I would highly recommend her to ANYONE, especially if someone has never been to an OBGYN before and is nervous about it. Dr. Rex is one of the best physicians I have encountered. She took care of me throughout my pregnancy; She made the appropriate and quick referral to the maternal fetal medicine group after concerns with my baby’s growth. Following that referral, she communicated and worked closely with the maternal fetal medicine physician to ensure that my pregnancy and the delivery of my baby was safe and healthy! Dr. Rex always spent the time that was needed with me, listened to me, answered all of my questions and discussed a variety of options with me each visit. As a patient, I felt confident, informed and taken care of with Dr. Rex as my physician. I cannot thank her enough!!

Dr. Rex was very thorough and did a biopsy showing that I had lichen sclerosis Also started me on Estradiol Cream for Vaginal Atrophy. She listened to all my concerns and makes me feel very secure that my feminine needs are being well taken care of. Dr. Rex is amazing and definitely makes me feel my problems are being addressed.
