Dr. Alka Arya-DeGaetano is very patient, knowledgeable and skilled in her profession. She is thoughtful and knows her patients and always begins the session by asking the patient how they are doing. She is attentive and is genuinely concerned about their welfare . She has a wonderful personality and knows how to put the patient at ease. Dr. Arya-DeGaetano is absolutely wonderful.

Dr. Arya provides information that is completely relavant to Me and my stage of life. This is so appreciated due to this has not been my experience with other care providers. I moved to SA in August of 2023, chose a care provider for me and my boys. After one visit for myself I knew he was not the right doctor for me and I began the research again to find anther provider and I am so happy to have found Riverwalk OB and Dr. Arya. She and her team really care about their patients and although their office is really busy, their focus on you as their patient is amazing!

Office staff was very disorganized. They had to reschedule my appt, which was no problem, but failed to call me back multiple times as promised about a new appointment. They promised to work me in the morning of my original appointment date instead of my originally scheduled afternoon appointment time due to pain and my medical history, however when I called the morning of the exam, they had not booked the appointment and had to work me in again later in the afternoon. While I am grateful I was worked into the schedule and able to be seen on the date I was originally scheduled instead of weeks later, they were very disorganized, awful at communicating, and made it unnecessarily stressful. In addition, once my appointment was done and I was leaving the office I was asked to fill out the check in paperwork giving the dr permission to examine me and giving them permission to bill my insurance, however, when I arrived Dr. Arya was delivering a baby and there was ample time for me to do that before the appointment while I was in the waiting room.

Wait was minimum. Office staff was friendly even though the lobby was super busy. My nurse was kind, fast and thorough. I never feel rushed during my visits and my questions are always answered.

Dr. Arya always gives us her full attention at our appointments and is extremely warm and welcoming. Having a child can be extremely overwhelming and stressful, but we always feel so at ease after each appointment.
