Dr. Ashitey was born in Chicago, IL but raised in Ghana, West Africa by her Ghanaian parents who wanted her to learn more about her heritage. She enjoys traveling, cooking, hosting game nights, and attending comedy shows. She’s also loves volunteering in the community and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The best part was meeting my new doctor, who I truly enjoyed meeting. As far as the breast examination, I had to go back to the front desk and ask about my appointment, because the examiner was 15 minutes late. Then she rushed in front of me to hurry up and get in the examination room; never walked along side me or close. My entire examination felt rushed and not personal!

Everything was excellent except for the fact that the pre-registration paperwork was very long and tedious. I’ve not had such tedious paperwork at any other medical facility before. Most of the questions were also asked to me again by the nurse so it felt a little unnecessary.
