Dr. Ashitey was born in Chicago, IL but raised in Ghana, West Africa by her Ghanaian parents who wanted her to learn more about her heritage. She enjoys traveling, cooking, hosting game nights, and attending comedy shows. She’s also loves volunteering in the community and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Was called back at a reasonable time but had to sit in exam room for over 30 minutes waiting. Appointment time was at 9:40 but wasn't seen until after 10:00.

We waited 40 minutes for the ultra sound and when we went back, the ultra sound tech rushed the appt. This is our first baby and it didn’t feel special at all. Dr. Ashitay mad up for our experience with the tech by providing us with time and celebration

Overall it was a pleasant experience however felt maybe my request to have a check my egg count and to see if my women part were in good condition like Fallopian tubes open, uterus good since I have history of endometrioma and endometriosis was slightly brushed off since I mentioned I had Frozen my eggs even though that may be the case it was the idea to potentially see if I still can get pregnant naturally and everything was good for that to happen but Dr felt that since I had my eggs frozen I there was no need to have to check account check which I can understand but it's never a guarantee that my eggs frozen could or would take I just think she could have humored me a little bit but she did schedule my follow-up to make sure I do not have endometrioma and that it's still gone.
