At the Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels, TX, we have been performing reproductive health examinations and treatments for more than 25 years. We have an amazing team of doctors with five board-certified obstetrician-gynecologists (OBGYNs), one board-eligible OBGYN, and a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to help assess your health concerns. We are also very fortunate to have Dr. Teresa Irwin on our team as she is the only surgeon board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS) in the San Antonio – Austin, TX Corridor. We also have five highly qualified, board-certified OBGYNs (Drs. Barrett Blaue, Kari Fay, Beth Reid, Brittney Schumann, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. and Dr. Lauren Hermann, DO, FACOG) to offer their services to you. Our medical team is very experienced in reproductive health, prenatal care, childbirth, lactation, hormone management, minimally invasive procedures, and surgical treatments when necessary.

    Lab Work

    I called with a possible UTI infection and was scheduled for an appointment that afternoon. When I checked in, I was immediately instructed to provide a sample of urine, then wait to be seen. This was very efficient use of time for all of us. By the time I was called back they had already looked at my sample and determined I indeed had some type of infection. The PA also reviewed my history and asked questions about my current status, showing an informed and caring person. The Rx was sent in before I left the office and I was told that if the culture showed any need for additional medication, she would send the Rx to my current location since I was going on vacation the following week. I was able to pick up the Rx on my way home. The visit was seamless, efficient and made me feel that the people working there really cared about me personally. I have had a lot of UTIs in my lifetime, and this was one of the best experiences I have had.
