WHY I JOINED MWC:
Having been raised in Midland, I knew Midland Women’s Clinic was the place for me. The physicians and staff here are wonderful people and well trained to handle all issues involved in the care of women. I know the people and area and feel that I can provide the lifetime relationship that patient’s desire from their physician. I provide gynecologic care for women throughout their lifetime focusing on contraception, well woman health, bleeding issues, and menopausal symptoms. I also assist my partners with covering obstetrical call during week-ends. I am residency trained in the da Vinci robotic system and have a strong interest in adolescent gynecology. It is an honor to serve this community.

Dr. Viney is easy to talk to and listens to me. I switched my gynecology doctor to come to Dr. Viney because I had heard good things about her. I hadn't seen my previous gynecologist in years, I only saw the nurse practitioner. I like going to Dr. Viney because she is an MD and I trust her practice.

Fibroid Detection

Dr. Viney was dismissive to my concerns and had a poor bedside manner. When I explained my recent issue and that the pain I experienced was entirely different than I normally experience, she brushed me off and stated the symptoms were typical. Although I understand she felt it was outside of her area of expertise, I believe she could have provided some insight into the possible causes of the issue, referred me to another doctor and/or given me some reassurance, instead of just nonchalantly dismissing my concerns. She repeatedly stated, "I never had you as my patient before.”, which is true, however, I have been to the Women’s Clinic for heavy periods as a teenager so it seemed she didn’t review my chart. Her only recommendation was to try a more potent birth control, which I’m not very optimistic about it because I've tried different birth control pills that worked for a while before stopping.
