Dr. Damla Karsan is an OB/GYN specialist in Houston, TX and has been practicing for 19 years. In 2018, Dr. Karsan established her own practice, Comprehensive Women’s Healthcare to ensure the best personalized care for each of her patients. Her areas of expertise include the care of complicated pregnancies and robotic gynecological surgery. She is dedicated to the holistic care of women including their physical and emotional well-being. She received a B.A. in Biochemistry and B.A. in Managerial Studies, both with high honors Rice University. From there, she earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Karsan is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Karsan is highly regarded both patients and colleagues alike, and is the recipient of honors such as winning the Baylor Voluntary Faculty Teaching award every year she was eligible, The St. Luke’s Family Center Maternity Care Physician of the Year 2009, Texas Monthly Best Physicians 2011-2019 and Houstonia Magazine’s Top Doctor 2015-2018.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I was on campus at another appointment and got out 1.5 hours before my scheduled appointment and they were able to fit me in, so I didn't have to wait. They are also wonderful about explaining everything insurance related, which is so helpful!

Not her fault but I only get to see Dr Karsan every other year and I missed my opportunity with her due to a delivering mom (totally understandable) and Georgia is always amazing but sometimes you have things you would like to discuss with your primary caregiver.

Obstetrical (Pregnancy) Ultrasound / Sonogram

The service from the nurses is great, but I've rarely spoken to the doctor since my care has started (total of 2-3 actually checks from Dr. Karsan). I'm not sure if this is normal, but it would be preferred if the the doctor could actually serve the patient. A 30 second check in would suffice.
