Jennifer Tompkins, MSN, APRN, WHNP-BC has been providing care to women in many ways for the last 17 years.

She spent 14+ years as a labor and delivery and obstetrics emergency department nurse in Houston, Texas. She then graduated and was certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She provides compassionate, patient centered care to the woman in all stages of life. She maintains licensure and prescribing privileges with the Texas Board of Nursing and her Women’s Health certification with the National Certification Corporation.

When Jennifer is not caring for her patients, family is number one. She loves spending time with her husband, children, and dogs. She is passionate about her rather large garden and thrives on growing vegetables, canning them and sharing them with friends and family! Her family bonds over raising and showing pigs for her children’s FFA projects. Agriculture is a huge part of the Tompkins’ lives and any opportunity to teach or share this is at the top of their list!

OB Care

What could have been better—it was a very long wait time (45 mins after my appt time until I was even taken back, then more waiting), and I think the front desk ladies on the way in could have been nicer/more welcoming. I was standing in front of them, with no other customers there, for several minutes before they even acknowledged me. I understand they could have been busy with other things as they talked amongst themselves and typed, but it only takes a second to say, “hello, we’ll be with you in a few mins, thanks for your patience.” However, there were two different ladies I interacted with when I checked out, and they could not have been more stellar—smiling, attentive, and accommodating! What was great—the NP deserves 10 stars! Ms. Thompson was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and made sure every last one of my questions was answered. I appreciated that she was up to date on best practices for pregnancy from a holistic perspective, such as the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. I felt that I was in excellent hands in her care, and I am looking forward to my next appointment with her. Ms. Thompkins exceeded all expectations, I would give her 10 stars if I could!
