Dr. Ashitey was born in Chicago, IL but raised in Ghana, West Africa by her Ghanaian parents who wanted her to learn more about her heritage. She enjoys traveling, cooking, hosting game nights, and attending comedy shows. She’s also loves volunteering in the community and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Ashitey is all around fantastic. We were going through a missed miscarriage and she was very gentle and comforting while explaining what’s happening and what our options were. She made me feel very confident in my decision to do a D&C, which she performed the day after my appointment. She even offered a hug at the end of my appointment, which I accepted as it was much appreciated.
