Dr. Damla Karsan is an OB/GYN specialist in Houston, TX and has been practicing for 19 years. In 2018, Dr. Karsan established her own practice, Comprehensive Women’s Healthcare to ensure the best personalized care for each of her patients. Her areas of expertise include the care of complicated pregnancies and robotic gynecological surgery. She is dedicated to the holistic care of women including their physical and emotional well-being. She received a B.A. in Biochemistry and B.A. in Managerial Studies, both with high honors Rice University. From there, she earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Karsan is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Karsan is highly regarded both patients and colleagues alike, and is the recipient of honors such as winning the Baylor Voluntary Faculty Teaching award every year she was eligible, The St. Luke’s Family Center Maternity Care Physician of the Year 2009, Texas Monthly Best Physicians 2011-2019 and Houstonia Magazine’s Top Doctor 2015-2018.

Dr. Karsan has always and still does takes time with her patients. This is why I still drive in to see her even though I moved to Sugarland 17 years ago. She is personable and answers all of my questions and concerns thoroughly. I never feel rushed during my visits but appreciate the efficient process of the examination. She is the BEST! Her staff is wonderful as well!
