Dr. Alyson Buick Pico received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Austin College, and attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine) in Fort Worth, TX.

She completed her residency training in Macon, Georgia at Mercer University School of Medicine where she received awards from the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine for Excellence in Obstetrics, AAGL for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and the Obstetrics & Gynecology Resident Research Day Award.

Dr. Pico has a special interest in high risk obstetrics, as well as vaginal and urogynecologic surgery. A Sherman native, Dr. Pico and her husband Josh have one daughter, Austen, and two dogs, Gauge a loving great dane, and Lexi a devoted Weimaraner.

I was highly satisfied with my postpartum appointment because the staff was very welcoming, supportive, and caring. My doctor took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and answer all of my questions, which made me feel comfortable and reassured. The positive energy and kindness I received made the whole experience so much easier, and I truly felt cared for. Dr. Pico always has the same great energy every time I have an appointment. She explains everything so well and makes sure I understand it clearly. I truly appreciate her care, patience, and positivity I just love having her as my doctor!

Dr Pico made me feel comfortable with her demeanor and approach. Wait times weren’t terrible, maybe just a couple times where I waited longer than 15 minutes. Even on busy days, Dr Pico had an approach that was calming and never rushed. I always feel I could ask her anything or talk over any concerns.
